Career Beginnings

Anthony Grillo is the owner of Property Valuation Consultants, LLC, located on California’s Central Coast. He began his professional journey with a strong foundation in residential construction and HVAC systems. These experiences naturally led him into the field of property valuation. His initial role was as a trainee fee appraiser for a state-wide appraisal company based on the east coast. Demonstrating his aptitude, Anthony progressed to the appraisal review staff and was eventually promoted to Vice President. After a decade of service at this firm, he ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing his own company in a new state, later expanding operations into a neighboring state.

 

Transition to California

After 17 years as a business owner, Anthony relocated with his family to the west coast. He accepted a position with the County of Monterey Assessor’s Office, serving as an appraiser. For two years, he simultaneously managed his east coast business. Over a ten-year tenure at Monterey County, Anthony started as an Appraiser II and, after about two years, advanced to a lead role as Appraiser III.

 

Expertise in California Tax Appraisal

During his ten years of public service as a California tax appraiser, Anthony gained significant experience in managing tax appeal hearings and conducting stipulation negotiations. His role required a deep understanding of California State property tax regulations, allowing him to develop advanced expertise in this area. Throughout his tenure, Anthony interacted with numerous taxpayers, addressing a broad spectrum of questions and concerns related to property taxation. This extensive exposure further strengthened his ability to navigate complex property tax issues and assist the public effectively.

 

Extensive Valuation Experience

With more than 35 years in the residential valuation industry, Anthony has appraised properties across four states, covering diverse market areas. His valuation expertise spans from inner-city income properties to luxury homes on remote coastal sites, as well as new construction projects and many other property types. This broad background gives Anthony a clear advantage in both valuation and consultation, making him a top choice for anyone seeking expert property valuation services.
